What does your 1.5 inch basket valve screen connect to? 1.5 inch bulkhead?

Thank you for your inquiry, You will need a 1 1/2" X nipple 1 1/2" MPT adapter found here http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~FT8177.html
You will insert this item to the 1.5 inch basket screen valve then the nipple will screw in to the bulkhead.

Okay, I know what size parts are needed, but how big is the basket overall?

Thanks for the reply, the measurement of the Basket valve screen is roughly around 5 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height

Do I need a 1-1/2 inch bulkhead fitting? What size hole do I need to drill through the glass?

Thanks for your reply, Yes you will need a 1 1/2" standard Bulkhead found here http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewItem~idProduct~FT1115.html You will need to drill a 2 3/8 inch hole to accommodate the bulkhead.
