Bass Chalk - Not sure if ick

yes just got a new bass chalk last night.. - on a 12 hour flight to our place...

its in the QT tank.. this morning looked at it and we noticed on its tail, 2 little white things on it..

not sure if its something the fish picked up and stuck to it?

or stress?

or ick
