Ok here is my 120g Deepblue RR upgrade. Got this tank and stand from tito. Thanks Tito . Ok i went from a 75 RR that I sold to anthony and also help my on my upgrade . Thanks Anthony. Well here it is , Its a 120 Deepblue RR 48x24x24 Deep blue series 1 stand and custom build canopy,DIY 84 leds XPE Royal blues with 40deg Optics and XPG R5 with 60deg Optics all dimmeable drivers. Sump from my 75g 30g sump, Skimmer is a Bubble magus NAC7 mod with a Sicce PSK-2500 with a Red Demon Pinwheel. mag drive 24 inline with chiller , chiller is a prime 1/3hp . 1 wavebox 2 Coral Vue High Seas 1200gph pumps for flow and 140lbs of liverock no sand this time . The pics below and not that great hard to take pics under leds . Note the corals are not fully colored up yet due to the upgrade will update there progress as colors come back.

very very NICEEEE, congrats on the upgrade!! Colors look good... I wish I would of went without a sandbed! Lucky You!:rollface:
 
Thanks guys the colors were way brighter than that there slowly coming back . As for the sand bed i hated it when i had my 75 so went BB on the upgrade and glaid i did
 
Yeah the sand was the wonst. Looks like you got some realy good comments here. Jarrets usual looks good comment lol :)

Noel, has the same lighting as you so the both of you will luck out with the colors.
 
Thanks mike . Here are my parameters and maintenance on my tank as of 5/01/11

PH- 8.20-8.35
No3- undetectable
P04- undetectable
K- 380
Salinty 35ppt
temp 78-80
Mag-1380

Maintenance- Water changes done every week 10g , salt used ESV salt , dose alk 2 cap fulls every day and cal 2 cap fulls every day. As for other things i dose . Well if i tell you i have to kill you . Lol. Skimmer cleaned every 3 days. Gfo changed every 3m and carbon changed every 2w.
 
What happens when you disturb an already established deep sandbed is it release's hydrogen sulfide gases that's in the bottom and will wipe out your tank.

No that only happen when you disturb the hole sand bed not a piece of it . All you have to do is every water change suck a small part of the sand bed out every water change that way the bac that is loss from the sand bed can replenish on your live rock.
