battling dead strands of hair algae

I have beat my hair algae issue, but now i am battling the worst case
of brown thin strands of the dead hair algae. so thin and is choking the hell out of all my zoas. for the past week I have been pointing a small pump towards corals and rocks and am trying to net them but still a battle. I just ordered a
brine shrimp net to be able to grab as much as this stuff when I cathc them floating around water column. any one have any other suggestions? I am
just trying to manually get rid of this stuff as much as i can but always seems to show up again as its so much of it... what a nuisance. I feel like its the last stage of battling hair algae as my ATS is growing GHA like crazy now.

Was it once green, or is it just brown? Two different pests. You may need to try fluconazole, if it's gettting out of hand, but for that a good skimmer is a must.

Honestly, Im not sure if its from my previous algae battle. I was assuming its from the dead algae but this stuff is long and short brown strings of algae. some really long some really short and its been a battle trying to net it all out day by day.

It has been out of hand for many days now. it clings onto everything even the sand bed and attaches itself to the glass even.

I just beat it with a 3 day blackout and manual removal..I cant believe how nice the tank looks after a blackout lol
