battling ich...and losing

Last week I noticed my tomini had a few white spots on him, I immediately set up a qt tank and moved my fish over not long after I noticed both of my clowns having small spots as well. Unfortunately the tomini passed away and I am struggling with the clowns. I have been giving them Instant ocean lifeguard since thursday but the female doesn't seem to be doing very well. I am wondering if i should switch to copper or start a hypo on them. I have done so much investigating I just dont know what is best for them at this point, any suggestions are VERY much appreciated :headwally:

Water conditions have the fish stressed.

If you can do major water changes 75% to 100% will help better then any medicine.

You may need copper in a quarantine tank to clean up the clowns.

I've had far more fish survive when I use hypo.

if you need to treat only a couple of clownfish, i'd do the TTM. it works every time for me. i'd highly recommand it.

I third the TTM procedure.

Done it a few times now with 0 loss and all my fish and system I can guarantee is 100% ich free. Fish to me seem less stressed when doing TTM versus copper or hypo. It's also way easier to perform IMO.

I have been through this and agree TTM. Just a word of warning though if you are using a smaller 2.5g tank for just the clowns. Be very careful with the heater. I had done well and after the second transfer the two clowns were both doing great. active again, eating, spots gone, etc. Then that night one of them got trapped between the heater and the wall, he died within the next two days. Just make sure if you are using a small tank for the ttm you are careful to not attach the heater directly to the wall. Since the space is limited there's a greater chance they will try to swim behind it and get stuck. We felt absolutely horrible.
