Bay area stores?

I will be visiting the Bay Area in July and was curious if there are any really nice stores worth visiting. I am looking for a store that has a nice collection of SPS. Can you recommend one? Also. is the aquarium worth going to? Thanks for your input.

Thanks but that list is long. I am looking for the stores that generally have the best SPS selection. I am not trying to upset that apple cart but information would be appreciated.

Depending on where you'll be staying here are the best places to see with good sps selections:

Aquatic gallary in milpitas
Mermaid Aquarium in Fremont
Dophine Village in Saratoga
Aquarium Concept in Hayward
New Alameda Aquarium in Alameda

Their addresses are again in BAR website. Where will you be staying in the bay area?

The Aquarium was good to go to, a few years ago, but they're closed now.

I will be staying in SF. Flying into Oakland. Also visiting Napa Valley. Busy schedule...I just figured if there was a must make stop to a store with a great SPS I would do it. I am sure that the California stores get a good selection being in the state that everything goes through. Thanks again for your input.

Well San Francisco proper doesn't have much in the way of "great SPS" there are some stores that carry some, which might be great if you're from a place lacking of corals in general but for those in the area .. meh. If you have access to a car (and the desire to pay $3.30/gal for gas) take a trip to either New Alameda aquatics and/or Aquatics Gallery

Hell if you have a day to burn mapquest all those that Xinumaster mentioned, plan a trip to most efficiently visit them, and go take a trip armed with credit card because it can get costly :) Also make sure you plan it such that you pick things up before you go home (perhaps visit places on one day then swing by to pick things up the day of your return flight).

Finally if you do get any "Great" things, make sure to let us know, I'm always curious what people from elsewhere think of our area.

Correction about the Dophine Village that I mentioned. It should be Dophine Pet Village and they'll located in Campbell not Saratoga.
