I’ve spent hours trying to get this thing right and silent like everyone else can lol.

I’ve tried doing the pipes inside the overflow box shorter, longer, you name it.

With and without the u-pipe and I still can’t get it to where I want it.

I’m running around 2000 gph through the system fyi.

I can tune through adjusting the gate valve to have the primary drain under water and silent, BUT I cannot figure out how to get the secondary open air drain silent once water starts going down that pipe 😭😭😭😭😭

ANY help or advice is appreciated.

ive attached pics of the system. THANK YOU ALL‼️‼️‼️

I looked at your thread on R2R. The video named img_2453.mov looks pretty much perfect. A trickle down drain 2 and drain 3 dry. I'd just leave it like that.

If you're getting water from the 2nd pipe you have to open your first pipe drain more to stop the trickle. It won't take much just a slight turn.

It's also better to make sure pipe one is submerged in your sump.

How big is your tank? You don't need 2k through the overflow..........that borders on ridiculous. With less flow it will also be easier to control the noise.

Unless your tank is 300-400 gallons you don't need that much flow. Slowing it down will contribute to less noise.

It's the 16" synergy overflow on a 220 gallon tank with 60 gal sump. All information he shared on R2R.

I have the 16" synergy on my 150g tank and I doubt I'm running much more than 600gph.................that's all that is needed.

Flow pumps and/or closed loops should be where the major amount of flow comes from.

Apparently, the OP decided RC opinions were not needed since they have not returned since asking their question.
