Beautiful Clams!

Jeni, I am surprised that you have room for anything in the tank. It was pretty packed last time I saw it.

I can't believe you guys didn't buy that teardrop! that's gorgeous! I can only afford the cost & space for my $30 3"er though.

It is not going to be for sale otherwise I would have. It is going into a private collectors tank...

Me too! I always wonder where I squeeze more in. Looks like some more larger things are going to move into my softie tank.

And has a waiting list for the privite collection. I believe the list is Kevin, Rob, Mike. But it might be Kevin Mike Rob.
Nice to be on the list, but I am sure it will end at Kevin.

Now 1 ;)

That 5" one disappeared, it was weird like it spontaneously combusted...

I didn't think clams could do that.

That was the one I wanted, but the wife liked the small one better. Since she was getting into it I had to roll that way. Anytime the wife says she likes something I try to get it, hoping to pull her into the hobby with me. She liked some of the black angler fish they had too. I was ready to get one and set up it's own tank, till she saw the 6" one and thought it was too ugly that big and no longer wanted it.
Luckly she liked a couple clams and some acros. I didn't get anything for myself, all for her:D

So how much of a drive is it to their facility? I might want to make a weekend out of going there this winter with the gf. maybe something recreational around that area?

The facility isn't open to the public I don't believe, this was a special event.
Anyway it is about 4 hours due North from Rockford. If you like snowmobling I understand there is a lot of that to do that way. Wife an I stayed the weekend about 30 minutes farther north in Minocqua. $90 a night for a 1 bedroom townhouse on the lake. Cheap and nice. Left me more to spend at DFS

nice, i understand the facility isnt open to the public but isnt it true that if you buy something from the divers den you can pick it up at the retail store?

Yes, you can purchase an item on Divers Den and pick it up in the retail store, but you will only have about 2 days (48 hours) to do that pick-up. They also typically have a nice selection of fish and corals in the retail store.

Edit - He's the thread on the Live Aquaria Forum with that Q&A:
