Beaver's Crazy Reef

Enjoy yourself and your family. I heard or read on a thread that there are some nice LFS in Madrid.

Thanx very much Wayne. You are correct about the LFS in Madrid, however I have promised my self and the missus that there is not going to be anything tank related in this trip.

A good opportunity to clean my head and recharge my batteries

I did a quick catch up with your thread btw, very sorry about your injury! Is it getting any better?

Love the tank size. Great build so far

Thanx very much!:fish1:

Thanx very much!:fish1:

I am waiting on the consult for the MRI. Some of the swelling has gone down but still in pain. Thanks for asking.

I'm always allowed a trip to an lfs, I usually organize it on the last day of the trip just before flying out, this way it doesn't block any of our plans and allows me to buy a few things to fly out with...
Barcelona has an excellent LFS.

Hope you have good news...

Have a great time Loukas!

You are going to two of my favorite cities!

Thanx Dan! I am with you!

Well if I was to buy anything it would be from Madrid as its last on schedule before flying back to Athens but flight times are a bit strange so no tank presents in this trip.:hmm5:

Hello everyone

I hope this update finds you in the best of reefing and personal times.

I have done a bit of work since I got back from Spain.

However the situation in Cyprus has put a lot of pressure on work and hence the progress will continue to be slow....

Enough talking

I finished the stain and protection finish in the sumps and the balcony cabinet

At last I have moved the stand to my place, so I can put the final touches

These will come handy for my tile floor

Plywood for the stand top

In the above picture you can also see replacement filters for my RODI and 5 lires of activated carbon and phos remover

For the stand finish and protection I will use plasti dip which sounds very promising against rust, being plastic

I now have to figure out the base coat.....

...

The plastic canvas for my ATS arrived

IMG_2704.jpg

And last but not least I have done 99% of the silicone cleaning and touching

That's all for now folks.

Beginning of the following week I will receive sump and overflow glass so most probably another update will be due by the end of the week

Its good to hear that!

Do you have any suggestions as for what to use as a base coat before the plasti dip?

Plasti Dip is a wonderful product. Just not for inside of cabinets!! See my thread for how that worked. I just painted over the Plasti Dip. Not strong enough for the heavy items being moved around in the cabinet.

As I dont have my sump below the cabinet I hope I wont have these problems!

Small update

I went to the craft store yesterday.I decided to go with the following

red lead anti-corrosive primer

I ll lay down two hands of this

then another two hands of Hamerite smooth black

And at the end as much hands as I am happy with plasti dip
