Beaver's Crazy Reef

Small update for everyone

This is where we stand after two coats of primer and two THICK coats of Hammerite.

I ll let it dry for another day and then apply the plasti dip

Till then .....

May i add that for my return pump I ran into a few issues with the second hand hamerhead so I decided to ditch it and go for the speedwave dc 10000.

I also decided to run it internarly as I read a few issues with people running them externally and I want my piece of mind.

Great looking tank!!! I would love to build my own tank one day, looks like a lot of fun. Awesome job with all the DIY stuff, really looking forward to your progress and glad I found your thread. Keep up the good work

I have to keep myself busy reading about everyone else's builds!

I enjoy that just as much!

Till next time...

I bought them from e-bay!

They were shipped to me from UK.I can check for the seller if you want but I think you will be able to find them from a US seller.

these are capable for 80kg each and I have four of them.I use them for glass panels lifting and aquariums moves!they are a must have IMHO:thumbsup:

I know I can rent some locally for a decent price. I've seen the prices can be quite high to buy. Are they reliable? Slightly anxious that they would fail!!!

But they look like they would make life much easier with moving tanks!

If I remember corrector they were something like 30 dollars each!

As for the reliability I have use them 5-6 times and never had a problem.

What I do is I always use two, even if one is within the weight range and I always test pull!

On an aquarium move I use all 4 so the possibilities of all of the failing at the same time are minimal

Loukas!

Things are looking awesome pal! Wow! Lots of great progress.

I am glad to see the Mrs. helping out and that you were able to get so much done.

I am anxious to see it continue!

Cheers Dan!

misses discovered that she realy enjoys putting tanks together! She cant wait for the quarantine!

I moved the stand in place moments ago!Plasti dip unfortunately needs to be treated very carefully!I think its still going to be up for the task as not a lot of action is going to take place inside as my sump is in the balcony but future users keep it in mind!

Unfortunately Owen was right!
