Planning a bit of an unusual setup:
40x36x27 main display
20x24X20 display fuge + sump (not yet unplanned)

This would be on a steel, L shaped stand. one leg of the stand 60 x 24 the other 40 x 36

Question related to my floor

First floor, joists are 2x8 16 on center (maybe.. house framed by oddballs)
10' span

subfloor is 1/2" + 3/4" (e.g. two types of plywood).

Do I double up the 2X8's under the tank or am I good here as is?

Finished flooring isn't in, so its not tragic, but I'd have to cut up the subfloor (no access below) and I would rather spend the day on another part of the build!

Here's the exact space where the tank will go

I think that you will be fine with what you have. 2x8's on 16" center with two layers of plywood over it all. Very sturdy. Is you sub floor perpendicular to each other. If your wondering my back ground is I have owned a flooring installation company in Central Illinois for the past 10yrs.
