I have search for the answer but have not found it. I have been away for AL for a while. Working in Texas. Can anyone tell me what happened to Jerry aka "Fish Tails or The Living Reef"? Did he move or just go out of buisness?

I don't think it's taboo. I just think it's gone. I never see or hear it mentioned as being in Rainbow City or anywhere else.

Jerry got a real job. He went to work at a water treatment plant. He said he could not turn down the money they offered him.

Glad to know he is doing okay, and I really hate the future hobbist will not have the opportunity to learn from them.

Here's what Beaslbob said about Jerry and Fish tails:

6 weeks to two months back Verdell and I were just driving around and decided to check out rainbow city. Actually we were already in Gadsden so it was close.
It was a saturday and I knew they had closed so I expected to see nothing.

Which is basically what we saw.

But to my surprise the shop (or at least building) was still there along with Jerry and a couple more people. Looked like they were cleaning up and removing stuff.

Jerry did not make enough to keep it going and had taken a "real" job at anniston arsenal.

It was nice talking to Jerry even if he didn't have any super deals on large tanks.

NARC did have a couple of good meetings there and their selection was excellent.
