Have any of you had much problems with these file fish eating corals to any big degree?

They have not bothered any corals in my mixed reef. I have ordered several for friends when I ordered and no issues. Only problem I have noticed is that the males don't seem to ship well. There are a couple captive bred females on DD now.

Yep I saw that. It's just that common names can be applied to different fish. One poster was convinced it was a different fish so thought it might be something else.

My bristletail demolished my aptasia then turned on my blasto garden fml he smashed half a dozen colonies before i trapped him... I now have a valentini mimic he doesnt eat aps but is a model citizen.. One of my favorite fish.

I got a matted file fish that was a proven aptasia eater...

all he picks on are pods in my tank.. hasn't touched any of the thousands of aptasia..

Yes,same.also they can nip at corals.dont let them go hungry.also as isaid before,this one in my tank decimated the pulsating Xenia colony- an acceptable trade of for now zero aiptaisia/ mojanos.
