beginner anenome...

I wouldn't say any of them are really necessarily for beginners. All clownfish hosting anemones can be pretty difficult to keep.

Could you give us some more info on your tank?

I don't believe in the waiting 6 months rule, I added a Sebae after 7 weeks and it's been doing great ever since (even with pc lighting). Although now it's under MH and it seems to be loving it. Add one when you feel your tank is stable enough to handle it.

Just because yours did ok in a new tank doesn't mean it's common. The waiting period also allows a newbie to learn and get accustomed to maintaining the tank.

To answer the question, a BTA may be a good choice if you haven't got lots of room since Occelaris' naturally host bigger anemones. It may take a while for them to host though, mine needed like 2 months.

Before you get one though make sure you've got good lighting, i.e. T5 or MH and an established tank.

I would go with a BTA. I went with the timeframe listed in the sticky in this forum. It says wait 4 weeks after your cycle before adding one (you should really read the whole sticky, it has some good information http://www.carlosreef.com/AnemoneFAQ.pdf). I did this and have had pretty good luck. If you are wanting to put SPS or other corals in your tank, I think it is a good idea to put the anemone in first to let it find a home, then add the other corals. This method worked for me :)
