Ok so here is an update. I just need to know stocking for a 29 gallon. I would like clownfish and a goby, can I fit a Coral Beauty?

Sounds like you're blowing off the advice on getting some live rock?

That's a mistake if true. You'll probably kill fish & and have a pest algae nightmare if you go that direction. Check craigslist for tank tear downs for live rock deals.

If you're chronicslly short on cash remember that when certain things on a saltwater aquarium break or go wrong, they MUST be addressed IMMEDIATELY. Not next week. Try to have a few bucks in reserve.

No, a coral beauty or any dwarf angel fish will really get too big for that tank. A royal gramma is perfect. Good luck!

Live rock is your filtration to hold bacteria that breaks down ammonia, without that bacteria your gonna have a hard time keeping fish. You can get by without a skimmer on that size tank by doing water changes but dont skimp on the rock imo

Cheapest way I found which I did for my tank was buy about 20lbs of this + a tiny bit of actual $$ live rock for the bacteria and critters. But you do need it!
