Did any of you guys feel when you started out that you just seemed to have really bad luck when it comes to certain things?
Oddly, I seem to have bad luck with clowns.
My first clown died of a parasite that wouldn't respond to any treatments I tried (rather, every treatment seemed to make it worse).
Then I got three small clowns since the store was out of medium clowns. Seemed to be doing ok....
Yesterday, they finally started to swim around the tank. I took a shower and went back to the tank and one was gone. Just as I said, "where did he go?" he came flying out of the pump!
And was dead from impact. I didn't realize that it was small enough to fit in the pump.
Another one kept swimming by some rock crevices where I am convinced that the mantis (who hasn't fallen for ANY of my traps) is hiding. I haven't seen the little guy since last night. But maybe he is hiding like my dottyback did for days.
The only one left in clear sight is the one guy who refuses to leave the same spot.
Clownfish are supposed to be simpler fish. But I have less problems with level B corals and my tang (who prefers mysis over nori for some reason).
Luckily, I have never been one to be discouraged and since clownfish have always been my favorite, I will keep trying, but it's just kind of ironic to me....
