Beginnings of Aiptasia? or just a cool looking coral?

Hey Everyone,

This was attached to a hitchhiking clam on this piece of live rock. It has been in my tank for about 2 weeks and when I described it to my local shop, they said it was aiptasia...but I'm skeptical. Does anyone know what this is? I'm hoping it's a coral.

There's an astrea snail for size context.

A buddy I talked to wasn't sure exactly, but they said it wasn't aiptasia.

Do you know how to post pics inside the actual posting area? I could show you what it was if I could figure out how to do that lol. The pic I have of it is too big to put in the gallery.

i think you load it onto photobucket first or something

you can load it onto RC photo gallery as long as it follows RC guidelines for files size.

Just click on photo gallery on the home page in the main menu on the left.

aromantis-I found out it is a form of cladocora. Here's a pic...it's the orange in the middle of the pic.
