Belize Reccomendations

We are in the beginning stages of planning a trip to Belize.

Does anybody have any reccomendations for the following:
-Dive Charters
-Places to stay (hotels, resorts)
-Activities outside of diving/snorkeling, etc.
-Places to eat
-Places to Visit (must see towns etc)

Obviously, everyone has their own personal preferences. We like staying in condos and have never stayed at a resort. However we are considering a diving resort for obvious reasons, but I'm hoping to gather as much information ahead of time to aid me in our search.

Thanks,
Jason & Monique

I went with my family in March to Caye Caulker. We like staying at small hotels not resorts so can't help you there but we went diving at Frenchies: http://www.frenchiesdivingbelize.com/ They are a very good diving company and take care of you well. Caye Caulker is a more laid back island, no cars, no paved roads, and if they catch you running they tell you to "stop and slow down, you are on Belize time," no joke this happened. Just something to look into! -Erika

Tobacco Caye. It is great. it is very backpacker oriented and in no way resort style, but very inexpensive with great diving. While I was there when we went out, it was only me my gf and the divemaster. Look into it
