Bellus angel experience needed.

Do bellus angels pair easily? I was going to order a male from one place and a female another. Eac place is sold out of the other.

Not an expert, but from my experience there should be no problem...probably would help if the male is a little larger.

Before my upgrade I bought a M and a F at different times, and kept them in separate tanks till the upgrade. My M reverted to a F, and after I put the 2 together in the new tank, within 2 weeks, the original F turned into a M! A year later, they're still very happy together.

I had a male and female and then male turned into a female leaving me with a pair of females.
Did you have another Genicanthus Male in the tank? I have had 2 Zebra angels revert back to F, because of a large M Lamarcks (who will be leaving, soon)

I have a pair in a 240 gallon tank and they are swimmers for sure. They mate when I simulate dusk. Mine are now about 7 years old and very fat. I purchased the female first, then added the male.

We have a 300g tank and have had a pair for almost a year now that we purchased from our local LFS.

Our male lives to chase not only our female Bellus, but our Regal as well.
