Will they compete for food with a mandarin? I saw someone post that they eat pods but havent been able to confirm it.

Also havent been able to find a consensus on the likelyhood of a single female turning male with no other male present? Likely, hit or miss, or not likely? Tia.

They usually cruise around and pick at whatever they can find, so yes they will eat pods.

yeah they eat some pods. but it is a nice looking fish though

If you fed them well with quality food, I'd doubt they would be in competition...

That's what I was thinking. Never known any angels to rely heavily on them. I feed 2-3x a day. Mysis, brine, rods, and cyclopeeze all soaked in garlic and selcon.

Anyone else have any experience with the changing question?
