I have been looking for a bellus pair. A lfs got a small female in. I prefer to get two females together but theres only one. My question is do you guys think its fine for me to getthat single female now then get another female later? Thanks for the input, im posting from my phone so its a little sloppy.

I've seen multiple females get along but adding them at once is always the best way to do it. I've not heard of any females changing to males. usually with geni. angels the problem is males not kepping their male color/fins.

I've had my female for 4 years and she's a great fish. Not aggressive, but an outgoing fish that will not tolerate being harassed

i have a pair of bellus love them but i
am not sure if adding 2 females one would turn into a male i know with wantanabei it's possible when adding more than one female one could turn into a male

I had a male watanabe that reverted back to a female. So I added a female and it never turned back to a male and its been 2 years...Ive heard of females changing but I dont think its common

Same experience here with G. watanabe.
