I have 11 in my tank but I am the exception not the rule.
Threadfin cardinals will school, if you want to get a few of them instead.
I have 1 Bangaii and 1 Pajama.....not sure if the different species helps but they get along fine.
I have had 4 in my 300 for over 2 years now no problems 3 stay together other one is a loner minor chasing
I wanted to add a few more but didnt want to press my luck... Have not seen any spawning behavior yetIn a large enough tank, it is possible but does not always work. The three together sound like FMF and the loner may be a M
Have not seen any spawning behavior yet
For how long? What size?
Had them since mid August. Some I bought and others were orphans taken in when a friend left the hobby. Tank is a 55 g and densely stocked at the moment. I think because I have so many the aggression is spread out equally and no one fish takes too much abuse. That and I feed heavily (and skim heavily with vinegar dosing).

I'm looking for one Banggai. I'm in the Gaithersburg area.
There should be tank bred available. Is there a local reef club there?
