Hello i suppose the only question i have is- did you order berghia nudi's from www.saltyunderground.com that are supposed to eat only aiptasia's, and if they dont have aiptasia's they die. as advertised!!!!!!

AND THERE GOING TO TOWN ON ALL YOUR MONTI'S??????

They seem to be chowin down on my digita monti, and now moved on to my plate monti.

The nudibranch that sold in the trade (and by saltyunderground) under the name Berghia is really Aeolidiella stephanieae.

A. stephanieae only eats Aiptasia and will die after they've eaten all the Aiptasia in the tank. They wouldn't eat a monti, just crawl over it. Can you post a picture of your nudis?

There are correctly identified images of A. stephanieae on this page:

Some of the photos are from Lisa Brown at saltyunderground so they are selling the right kind of nudibranch.

I havn't seen the adults i originaly for a very long time. However they did lay 2 egg swirls ( that i could see) and after aprox. 2-3 weeks maybe the juv. nudi's are focused around base of monti, and started receding there after.

I have tried to spread them around rock work. But now are just on different frags around tank.

Now im just trying to blow them in to filter intake.

Did you see the Aeolidiella actually lay the egg ribbons or did the egg ribbons just show up one day? Maybe another type of nudi hitchhiked into your system with a new purchase and laid the eggs.

i noticed them within 10 min. of adding them. And they were located right were i added nudi.

They can take over an hour to lay a coil of eggs. Did the eggs look like this? If not, then that was a different type of nudi.
