Berghia nudibranches

I have gone through berghia, peppermint, copperband, and Joe's Juice to treat Aptasia. Spend the $8.00 or so for a bottle of Joe's Juice and you will be happy. Berghia's are very sensitive and might die off before eating. Peppermint or a hit or miss. Copperband might eat your LPS. Good Luck.

Yep, I've bought 8 of them (at $15 each) and I think I might have ONE left in a quarantine tank. Actually, the first 4 died due to bad acclimation probably (I drip acclimated them for like a whole DAY and they melted), the second batch was a groups buy and I think the retailer put ALL of them into one bag, so when they were distributed, they were put in the group buy organizer's tank water and given out.

I hate to say it, but I might be will to try ONE LAST TIME with these things, but I'll have them shipped to me directly from the seller. I have a 30 gallon QT tank with nothing but aiptasia rocks, chaeto and even just a foam-air filter (ie no powerheads to eat the bergies) and maybe one of them is in there (or else the aiptasia are walking around avoiding detection).

We really need to get a local supply going...$15 is TOO bad for each, but with shipping, it's expensive.

I am beginning to think this berghia thing is a bunch of BS!!
I don't see them doing a damn thing.
Has anyone from the GB, seen any significant change in their aptasia population?
Vince you are the perfect example of why NOT to buy them. You tried many times and still no success.

i saw 1 out of 2 i got from the group buy, the other nite. The one I saw was a lot bigger (~1 long") than when I got it. But I haven't notice a decline in aiptasia in my tank. I don't know if the other one is alive or dead.

I dunno, I've had success with pepermints over the years (so long as there isn't something eating the peps). I've bought all mine from Lucky Goldfish in Oakland so maybe they just buy the correct species.

For peppermints make sure your getting Lysmata Wurdemani not the calfiornia""" type. or a camel shrimp as well ( coral eater )

I've had great luck. Not a single aptasia in my tank and I was super infested. Just gotta follow the directions carefully and be patient.
