Berghia Nudibranchs

I'm not sure yet I'm open to suggestion to fit peoples calenders. I was thinking about the frag athon if you guys want to meet there, I can take them with me but then that means a longer period of time in cold waters. For best survival rate, doing a pick up rite after deliver is prefered but let me know what u guys think. I also saw a cool clip on utube with these guys eating aiptasia

I think people are trying to help with talking about the nudis... I know quite a few people who got them and they did not do anything. They just disappeared in their tanks never to be seen again and never to help with the aiptasia. I would agree with those that said don't waste your money. I would buy 20 peppermint shrimp or try a copperband before I bought one nudi. Just saying.... if you do get them please let us know your experience I would be interested in hearing of someone who had some success with them.

any news on if your odering the nudi's? I have tried the pepermint shrimp without much luck. Let me know because i am going to friday's meeting and could pick them up there.

Thanks,

was thinking about doing it around the meet but I just lost over a grand so I'm low on cash. I think I might have to ask someone to make the order them I can buy some from them

im also having a aip problem... i have tried joes juice, aiptasia x and they seem to be coming back stronger. i have tried peppermints with no luck, they just seem to take out my zoas which i really didnt like. Does anyone know if copperbands are reef safe ?

aiptasia

aiptasia

Copperband butterflies are your best bet if you dont have any fish that will kill the copperband. Aiptasia is not a natural food for copperbands. It usualy takes 2 weeks to a month before they learn they like them. They always work. One cleared our 675 in less than 3 months. Feed your copperband mysis shrimp untill it learns to eat aiptasia. Copperbands eat tubeworms and featherdusters. Kiss them goodby if you add a copperband.

Berghia work but take a while. Majano anemones, coral banded shrimp and probably many other things eat berghia so if you have majanos the berghia wont work. Many people breeding berghia have them in ungodly high salinity water for some reason. If you get some of them and dont spend many days aclimating them they will die.

Peppermint shrimp work if you dont feed your fish too much. If you do they will eat fish food instead.

Banded butterfliea are the natural predator of aiptasia but they are just as hard as copperbands to keep and are more likely to eat your corals.
