Berlin classic set up help

I recently purchased a berlin classic for my 30 gal. with about 50 gallons of volume. i would like to know what pump i should get, and tips for tuning it in, also are the 2 hose barbs towards the top both where water comes out, and the one on the bottom is where the pump connects, correct? Any tips in general are greatly appreciated, thanks Dan

I had one of those years ago. Never could get it to work the way I wanted to. Yes, the two hose barbs near the top is where wanter drains back. I think I ran a RIO 2100 on mine, but again, never did get it to run very well. First skimmer I ever had.

so far i have been able to find, that it should have 500-700 gph, and i have a 580gph pump that i will throw on there and see what happens.

Some skimmers take a while to "break in".....this could take days or weeks...... It also depends on how much stuff is in the water to be pulled out.
