Best 175 Watt bulb?

What is your favorite 175 watt MH bulb? I want to keep sps. I do like the look of 20k bulbs. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

I'm running a 14k hamilton bulb on my frag tank and its got a nice blueish tint to it

Cannot go wrong with the Iwasaki 15K's! They have a hint of blue and you can always add actinics to blue them up. The nice thing is that they have a higher PAR/brighter than most 250W bulbs which means you can easily keep SPS under them. Do a search on the bulbs if you have any questions on them.

Another vote for the Iwasaki's, especially if your tank is deep. They are PAR masters.

Iwasakis for PAR Hamilton 14K or XM 20K for color.

If you go the XM 20k route let me know. I bought a set of them new in Feb and ran them for 4 hrs a day for maybe 2 months.

Too blue for me and didn't have near enough PAR for my 110 tall tank. I will sell for a sweet deal.

Iwasakis IMO are the best bulbs on the market for our hobby. Combined with URI VHO super actenics, you will have a great looking color combo with monster par values, and fairly effecient energy use.
