Best 250w DE for growth

I am supplementing with 4x55W PC acintics, so which give the best par/crisp white.

I have heard reeflux are good, but giesseman I have also heard. I know you test these out which are the best in your opinion.

I've always been partial to the Aqualine for growth. You will definitely need supplementation with it, but it gives just as good growth as the XM does, and nowhere near as yellow. The Giesemann's are nice lamps as well, and just a touch less yellow. HTH

Do all of these lamps need supplementation? Or can you go with just the MH?

I think you would want to supplement any of the lower kelvin DE 250's, such as the Aqualine 10k, Ushio 10k, XM 10k, ReefLux 10k, Giesemann 13k, etc.

What about that phoenix 14k? I'm trying to go for a pendant only tank so I don't have to have a canopy...

I have personally ran the Phoenix by itself, as well as many other people out there, and have been completely satisfied with it.

If it were your tank you would go with the aqualine however?

If you're supplementing with enough actinic to please you, then yes, I would go with an Aqualine.
