best actintic bulb

i want to add a actintic to my 10 bulb ATI PM.

wondering which is the best brand too add? I currently run all KZ tubes, 5 super blue, 2 Fiji purple and 3 new gen.

The Blue + is a great bulb but it's not really an actinic bulb. The "True Actinic" is ATI's actinic offering.
An actinic lamp should have several peaks between 420nm and 460nm, the Blue+ is a 460nm only bulb.

Good info and true, but I think your reading into it a little more than need be for his question.

I may indeed be reading too much into it, but when the question "best actinic bulb" and the replies suggest something that is not an actinic I figured it was time to be specific. Only the OP knows if he wants a blue bulb or an actinic, a little more detail would allow us to give the best suggestion.

I can't tell you which actinic bulb is best, but if you're looking for a bulb with low PAR I wouldn't get the Blue +. I've seen this chart posted here before and it may be helpful:

I had the same issues with too much par I put in 2 pure actinics in the first slot and the last. THe rest are blue plus and purple plus.
