Best auto top off

I've heard Tunze had the best auto top off system, but boy it sure is pricy. Anyone have an opinion on good reliable auto top off systems that use a reservoir for the FW source?

+1 for tunze. Then again I've never had another topoff so I can say other brands are as good.

I use a autoaqua smart ATO and its a really simple design. Just a wetside magnet and a dry side with a sensor and the pump is powered by the dryside

Had it for 4 months and I haven't had any problems with it so far but it is not that much cheaper. I found it on craigslist for a steal.

+1 for tunze. I have used the ATO for the Digital Aquatics it worked just as well with a little more work. The one thing that happen to me with the Tunze, i let the pump run dry and had to replace it. Now i added a float switch in my top-off container so it turns the ATO off if the water gets too low.

tunze works also the hydor one works fine too. ihave a reef genesis as well they all do its job

Currently using the AquaMedic Refill System.

Optical main sensor with electronic high level sensor. Low reservoir float sensor. Auto cutoff timer and it's at a good price.

I just bought this , had it for a month been doing good, no issues , not a lot of reviews on this unit , the older one supposedly wasn't too good but this works perfect for me . like $70 . I was debating between aqua smart ato and hydor . but decided to give this new product a try.

+1 for the AutoAqua SmartATO. Simple system and optical sensor has worked well for 2-3 years for me.

i have been using an autotopoff dot com system for ~4 years. one sensor failed once about a year ago, but thats why i got the 2 sensor system. they sent me a replacement sensor, no problem.

I have an used DIY setup. A float switch in the sump, and in the ATO bucket a pump and a sensor to stop the pump when running dry. Works well.

I am curious what benefits to spend so much on Tunze?

I have 120G tank, maybe for a nano tank, every bit precision matters.
