Best brand/type of 6-8 foot tank?

I'm looking to get into a larger, longer tank. Just in planning stages now (convincing wife, in other words) but I was curious if there is a specific brand or style of tank that people with that size tank think is better than any other? Is there a "best bang for the buck" tank that balances cost with quality?

Where is the best place in the area to work with to get one? Is going "custom" worth the time/cost versus "stock"?

custom are always nice but more expensive. there a guy on cl sale one for 600. 300 gallons I think is look really nice with euro trim.

There was a nice 72x30x30 lee-mar at Aquatouch last weekend and it was heavily discounted because they were trying to free up space.

The newer lee mar tanks have been pretty bad. I'd suggest a glass/acrylic hybrid from dsa.

I second this! I just went from a Leemar to DSA glass/acrylic hybrid, the new tank from DSA is awesome.
