best clam food?

I'm wondering if I should get a clam under PC lights. I know I would only be able to get a dersa if I do. What other care do they need besides high lighting and calcium?
Just trying to weigh the positives and negatives.

Any clam under 3 inches needs massive amounts of food. usually live phyto is best (isochrysis is preferable). Some people use a suspended yeast formula Daniel Knop reccomends.

A derasa might be OK, but you will require massive CA and ALK supplimentation. Be prepared to go through tons of B-Ionic or invest in a reactor. Derasa's grow like there's no tomorrow

All in all, if you can keep the CA/ALK up and provide food if needed, I think you might be ok. The lights are a bit borderlined, but you might be just fine.

how often would I have to add these suppliments and the phyto food? would once a day be enough? Right now I'm doseing every other or every 2 days and feeding the phyto once a week.
