Best deal on Aragonite sand?

Has anyone found the best deal on getting sand for a Deep Sand Bed? I plan on getting some Garf Grunge to add after I get the sand. Has anyone used their grunge?

I've bought their grunge before, or gotten it free with orders, either way, I've had it and it's ugly.

It's got a lot of stuff in it, as in, it's truly functional as what they are selling it as and based solely on that I would certainly buy it again, but they use a sort of medium sized grain for their rubble and it's all covered in coraline, so it looks like pink and purple kitty litter. That's really not so bad if you consider why it's pink and purple, but to make it truly obnoxious, they throw in a whole bunch of really unnaturally colored shells, like neon green and hot pink -- the exact kind you find in goldfish bowls.

The color eventually wears off the shells or they get moved around or buried, so the greatness of hot pink and green mini-shells only lasts a couple months to a year, but it's something to think about if you're planning on using it in a show tank.

That said, if you find a sweet deal on dry sand I'd totally go in on it, I'm needing/looking for about 50 pounds more.
Depending on how much you need there was a guy on ebay that was selling live sand and he told me he'd sell dry sand also, but there wasn't much of a discount, either way it was a reasonable deal - 30 pounds (live) for 16.95 plus 9.99 shipping.

I've gotten the grunge twice in the past 15 months, and no brightly colored shells. The rest of the description matches what I've gotten.

I got my Grunge Lite and Grunge Plus today. Can't tell yet it is still murky. This is all for my refugium. I will get back to you on what I find in it.

The best deal I have found so far on Aragonite is Drs F&S. They don't charge extra for shipping. 40lbs for $32 and 30 lbs for $22, different sizes though.

PetSmart now carries the Carribsea "Ocean Direct" sand and they will match the F&S price if you take in a print out of item on thier website.

Ocean Direct is a really nice fine white-ish sand. I don't think it's considered "Live sand", but they claim it has all the good bacteria plus some extra life in it.

I noticed a tiny little clam in my sandbed today and I'm fairly certain it came from the OD sand I added.

Hey awesome. I didn't know that they would price match online stores. That is great! There is a Petsmart in Ankeny I think, not far from me.
