Best Digital Camera for under $400

Im looking for my next digital camera... I would like the camera to do well taking pictures of my tank... what is the best camera options for under $400 total for macro shots and deals with the lighting well...
 
I just picked up a 8.0 MP Canon A630 today and love it and it does great video also. Here are a few links for reviews on it.

I can highly recomend the Canon Powershot S2, it is probably the most versital camera for the money since it has a 12x optical zoom and also has macro and super macro modes, and the cost runs around $300
 
Looks like the features are about the same as the S2 just has some improved functions, 6 megapixel, faster shutter speed, ect. I would probably go with the S3 since you can find it for just a little more, several web sites list it for about $350 but it is up to you whether those features are worth an extra $50
 
Canon S3 IS Hands down in that price range, actually comes close to beating a few DSLRs within reason. Go look at you local stor and take some pics. Get familiar with the manual focus and your on your way.
