Best dip to eradicate AEFW?

when I get afew infected freebies from the lfs, i use revive (also on every sps I get regaurdless!), I use the same setup as fishypets, and get the exact results he just posted. As far as basting goes, ive been basting for about 3 months, and went form a deadly case of aefw, to eraticated, basting daily. Im not 100 percent sure about "eraticated" yet, but for the last month i havnt seen any sign of any dammage, or bugs or eggs, after 2 months, still baste weekly to be sure. just read my sig and you'll be enlightened!

So I just got the CoralRx today. And all I can say is WOW! It works great and very fast. I noticed the first big AEFW come off the Acro at only about 3.5 minutes. And it was dead, not moving at all. I did a test on a small colony that I have about 3 of so I did some tests, because I have 2 other colonies if something happened to this 1. I left it in the whole 10 minutes and so many AEFW came off I was amazed. It was probably the worse infected piece I have though. I ended up fragging it because it was actually even worse than I thought. But the CoralRx absolutely kills AEFW, and pretty quickly too. I will dip every SPS I get in it from now on.

But seeing how many came off I will begin to set up the Qt tank this weekend. I think its the way to go at this point. And even if I loose a few pieces it will be worth the aggrevation it will save me down the road. Plus I really don't have any super expensive pieces ATM. My Cali Tort, ATL Puprle Godzilla Stag, ATL Christmas Mirabillis, and ATL Crayola Plana are my nicest pieces. And none of them are really hard to get. I would be upset if I lost any of those 4 though. The rest are just different frags I have bought cheap.

I wish i had a qt setup about 6 months ago, I lost about $1500 worth of rare sticks, and mini colonies, I dont have any before pics, but here is my poor barren tank after the fact with 3 acros i restarted with.

Sorry to hear about it. I am most likely going to keep the QT tank after the dipping treatments. And QT any new coral for a while. What would be a good length of time to QT a new frag or colony?

Here are some images of the ones I have been battling.

I have removed 2-3 big ones like this.

This is the only clutch of eggs that I have seen so far.

I would say qt acros for 2 mo this to be safe. I'm winning my fight against aefw right now. Basting, dipping every 5 days, seems to have beat them down. I have t seen any in the last 2 dips, and no eggs.

I'll be qt-ing mine for 2 months.
