I don't think either eats Bryopsis. You can try lettuce nudi. Or, if you can get rocks out. Dip or brush with hydrogen peroxide solution.

Magnesium dosing is the most effective method of quickly killing bryopsis, but you have to be careful. I had some bleaching and RTN in SPS colonies after using Tech-M. No effect on LPS or softies as far as I can remember (it was several years ago).

The only thing that ate bryopsis for me was a sea hare. No tang or fish I ever had touched it. I highly recommend the Tech M solution. It totally eradicated the stuff for me.

Tech M worked on my Bryopsis but had a very noticeable negative effect on my Tridacna clams and snails.
Because many herbivorous fishes WILL eat Bryopsis I shy away from Mg to treat it.
Large "Turbo" (Turban spp.) snails are effective on Bryopsis.
So are certain species of "Sea Hares"- most notably Aplysia and Dolabella species.

My fishes and Sea Hare are slowly losing their camera shyness.
The Sea Hare was out for a daylight stroll this morning and I snapped a few pics.
This first pic shows it's basic body layout. Look closely and you can see it's eye!

My Moorish Idol would snack on byropsis, but not nearly enough to control or eliminate it. Do yourself a favor, if you truly have byropsis, use Tech-M and eliminate it. I have tried every other byropsis cure known to man - nudibranches, sea-hares, rabbit fish, epsom salts, peroxide, better skimmer, change light bulbs, lights out, snails, crabs, etc, etc, etc., and the only thing that worked was Tech-M. It works, it works quickly, and I did not notice any adverse reactions with anything else. Just do it. I suffered with it for 2years before I did it, and after it was gone wished I had done it 2 years ago.

TechM is the only way to truly control and eliminate the problem. Fish, snails, and other inverts may snack on it, but they will not solve it.

that although Tech M is effective against Bryopsis it's not a "silver bullet forever cure".
DOC's (dissolved organic compounds),phosphates and nitrates all fuel nuisance algae growth. Limiting and exporting these things that fuel nuisance algae growth is the long term solution to controlling nuisance algae growth.

Magnesium sulfate is used in relaxing oysters for harvest so be careful when dosing Tech M because it MAY cause adverse effects on desirable reef animals.

Tech M is NOT the ONLY way to truly control and eliminate this problem but if you're going to use it you'd better have a good Mg test kit BEFOREHAND.
