If it's reef safe...you're most likely ok. I've had many angels with my clams over the years:

Flame Angel, Passer Angel, Coral Beauty...etc. Although it is up to the individual, some are better bets than others. I wouldn't really worry as much about tangs and other common reef fish though.

I can't speak for Butterflies, as I don't keep them.

Well, one of the suggested techniques to get CBB to eat is clams on a half shell. Hmmm.

ive had the following angels with my clams and no problems so far
regal
majestic
multibar
flame
potters
golden

get the occasional nip from a few but not damaging to the clams. I have 15 clams in my systems.
