best flow choices

I need some advice from the experts ... putting together a new mixed reef tank ... 56" long, 14" wide and 10" tall ... will likely be barebottom with mixed corals ... predominantly lps with some softies and sps ...

originally I was going to use a vortech so I could avoid the wires hanging over the tank (rimless), but, I really want the quiet nature of the tunze streams .... what would you recommend for flow ... thanks.

IMO I would think at a minimum a pair of 6095s would work for your due to the tank being shallow. On the high end a pair of 6105s would be plenty. You could go with 4 6055s and have more flow pattern options. I have had the vortech pumps and the noise they make will drive you to the edge. The wire in the tank is worth the silence and the service is second to none! Also being able to put the pump on the back wall and aim it makes for a cleaner look than the vortech stuck on the end.

I fear that the 4 6055's would be too obtrusive ... they would take up too much space ... I was thinking of one 6105 paired with a 6095 ... thoughts?
