best flow dirrection

so i have a 75g with 2 1200 maxjet powerheads 1 hob a protein skimmer and a close loop with out the wave maker in the tank and was wonding if i should have the flow going in a circular motion or if it should be random

random! it will create wave type flow if you let them hit each other. one just slightly (1/2") above the middle stream of the other. i have the same set-up in two tanks. REEF-ON!

random flow is the best, I would look into different mods you can do on your maxi-jets, helps with flow and output as well, ...

From what I've read they all point to random pattern being the best and I went with Aquarium Systems Natural Wave Wavemaker. If link doesn't work it's item number AS4111. You can hook up 3 PHs to it and you can set it bet 20sec to 3 minutes.

While we are on the subject of random pattern, I would like to know which pattern is optimal:

Longer time before change of flow direction or quicker change in direction? Currently I've set the timer to 1.5 min.
