Best Goby Choice?

the watchman will sift the sand as well.

If you can do it, find someone who has managed to successfully breed and raise the babies, and get a pair of the babies. I did the this, and it was absolutely awesome. They stayed paired up for the 3 years I had em.

Although I would like a pair, I would prefer to just have one. Then down the road I will add a pistol shrimp of some sort. I was wondering if I will ever get to see the little guy just by himself, or if I would need to buy a pistol at the same time?

Anyone have any experience with the Dracula goby?

For anyone who looks at this in the future: you can combine the appealing attributes of the signal goby with the appealing attributes of the yellow watchman if you get a Randall's Shrimp Goby.

They are attractive (white w/ orangish gold stripes), stay small (approx. 3"), and have a beautiful dorsal fin that they can signal with. I have had mine for quite some time now (a year and a half), and until our move, he lived with a fairy wrase and a green coral goby in a 24 gallon. I haven't had any problem with him (knock on wood), he is peaceful (at most he does the "open mouth" stance), and he ate frozen food from the start (although he was pretty small then.)
