Best Ich Treatments

all-apologies

hi,

i recently had a minor outbreak of Ich and I dont want it to spread, which i fear it might have already started.

I need to know how i should go about treating it. I have started to see it on my sailfin tang and possibly spreading to one of my clownfish.

Anyone know a basic first treatment?

I have already been adding NO-ICH. I was thinking possibly a freshwater dip. I treated black-ich before but never have done a full scale treatment of regular white ich.

i have shrimp in the tank. I do not have a quarantine tank.

thanks,

There is really nothing much you can do withotu a QT tank. A FW dip will work but you still have the ich in the system, snad bed, rock etc. The fish will get it again.
Since you have inverts adding anything can be riskyt as they cant tolerate most medications. You can try to feed with garlic and help boost up there immune systems.

ok sounds aight,

ill see what i can do with a freshwater dip. id hate to lose any fish tho. I know its a pain to deal with no QT tho. I just dont have the $ or space for one. Im a kid.

thanks,

How many times do we seen this post?

A UV filter is a start to help stop the free floating stage. Also, imune boosters help. Many say Garlic...I've used it and well...it worked.

Plus the least amount of stress you put on your fish the better. Once they get settled in and with the right nutrition, and help with a little UV light, you may be ok.

Read one time where a Phd. said all tanks have ich, it's just a matter of degrees...

GO figure...
