best kalkwasser to use

I Just got a new geo kalk reactor, and I was wondering what kind of kalkwasser is best to use to use. Is Ms wages as good as kent or other brands. I read in another thread that Ms wages is 10% iron Is that true and if it is do other brands of kalk have that same % of iron?

I use Kents. I posted the note about the iron as a note. A lot of folks on the boards I frequent report using Mrs Wages. I do not personally have any experience with it.

Mrs. Wages is food grade calcium hydroxide, no more no less. That said, I add chelated iron to my tank twice weekly to stimulate chaetomorpha growth. But you won't find iron in Mrs. Wages. You will be forced to pay a lower price for kalkwasser however, if you use pickling lime instead of Kent's. Kroger's has it for about $3 per pound.
