Best lfs for a clean up crew in the Santa Monica area

Hey all I just moved out here about two months ago and need to get some snails and hermits, were can I get the best price and quality in the Santa Monica area.

There is a place near you called Nature Aquarium. Toru the owner is nice but has limited saltwater stuff. Amazing planted tanks though.

Try hitting up Medusa's or Orwanda Aquarium.

The Aquarium in Culver city is decent but super expensive.

Reef Hot Spot isn't that far from Santa Monica if you don't have any luck with the others ones that were mentioned.

you're also, not that far from VIVID aquariums... AND... you get to check out their 14' reef tank.

I like jims in el segundo and reef hotspot in inglewood but they're a little further from you.

I ended up just going to allens they had the best prices by far. Some places I called wanted 2-4 dollars for hermits, allens was only .99 cents. I wanted to go out to vivid but 3.39 for a red leg hermit that is insane.

Btw want to make it clear I have no problem with any of these other stores I will pay top dollar for nice corals and fish but when dry goods and cuc are way marked up I just can't make sense of that.

Vivid can be on the expensive side, but they are definitely worth visiting even if it's just to "window shop."

Ya I agree great place I will buy coral there but can't convince my self it's worth it for other things.

Allan's is on Lincoln and Rose. They definitely have some great prices on dry goods and cuc, but I would be hesitant to buy fish from them. They don't seem to always be on the healthy side. Anyone buy fish from there?
