Best LFS...

Interesting. I would have put it the other way around actually.

When was the last time you were in the store ;) Lots changed old man.

I will agree in locally, in Chambana, Sailfin is the place to go. They carry a nice selection of corals; many sofites, leathers, zoas and LPS. Their fish selection is extensive; from clowns and chromis to flying grunards, frogfish and the occasional leopard wrasse.

There are a few other stores in Chambana and though their price may be a bit more competitive, their selection and the quality of the livestock is poorer. I have been to Johny's Reefing Experience on a couple of occasions, several months ago, and their coral selection was very impressive. So you more than likely caught them on during a bad time. You can always call and ask when shipments will be coming in...so that you are hitting the store when there are lots of things in stock.

hcs3 makes a great point, however, that being that regardless of where you go, best or worst LFS...you should be an educated hobbyist.

If Terre Haute IN, isn't to far away for you it is well worth the trip to Inland Aquatics. The place is huge their site says 13,000 square foot building with about 27,000 gallons of production systems the site sucks though so you can't really tell what it looks like inside. They may not always have the craziest stuff but the usually have a good selection even on a bad day. The place is a little better for fish than corals though. There is one other place in Terre Haute.

Good point dark_lotis...Inland Aquatics is amazing. In fact, a few of us were just out there a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately I would not consider it a "local store" since it is about a 2 hours drive each way. Nonetheless, it is well worth the trip. Tons of stuff to see and their staff is also top notch...amazingly knowledgeable.

I am going to have to throw in the vote for sailfin, if u are looking for something then just ask the owner. I am sure he can order it for u. Another thing to consider that most people do not know is that most of the stuff in the 210 or the reef tank when u first walk in is for sale. He does not have a huge selection of sps's but will most likly frag u a peice of something at a good price. I have never had problems with any coral I have purchased there.
