Best phish selection in Miami

Since there are so many LFS options, what Miami store would you say has the best fish selection as well as decent prices? I know this is subject to personal bias, but some must be better than others... ! any suggestions?

Thats a good question...is there really one LFS like that?
I have been to a few LFS and I see fish A priced low and fish B high priced then I go to another LFS and see Fish A priced high and fish B priced low... I just pick a fish and call using the spread sheet.

I guess there is no dominant store in this regard... like you said, it's a matter of making some phonecalls and pricing out the best deal...!

Agree no one store stands out great. Some I go for dry goods, some for fish, some for corals, some i wont touch livestock with 120" pole, some I go for a good laugh at prices or to be really sadden by the conditions in their tanks. Store names of course will remain nameless.

i like aquarium concepts, they don't get a lot of fish but when they do they are usually very nice and reasonably priced. the key is to go when they get there fish in stock because they sell out quick. they usually get fish on tuesday and coral thursday.

Some of the stores i've seen have decent coral selections, but so far I've been less than impressed with the quality and availability of fish stock. I'll check out some of the suggested stores...

I won't even ask about any no-no stores... like I've said before, some of us may be biased based on a single bad experience, so i'll leave it at that.

for example i think i got a great deal at aquarium concepts on two fairy wrasses today both for 32 bucks. 16 each. they came in yesterday where eating brine at the store and have eaten pellets at my house already.

i think that exotic aquariums also has a good fish selection and good prices, house of fins is getting there as they get more established.

where is house of fins. and man jess those fairy wrasse are nice bro. and for 16 each dat is not bad. ive been waiting for a lfs t get in some small yellow tangs but no one has gotten them in like 2 weeks. man and i really want one.

I actually saw a shipment arrive this past Thursday of Yellow Tangs over at Fishes of Eden in Miramar. I saw them being acclimated and there were about 12 or so if I recall.

like i said they do get great fish but you gotta be there early in the week because by the weekend they may only have literally 5-6 fish in the store. other than like a school of damsels or chromis. plus the owner robert has good taste in fish.

What is the best day to go to a fish store for fish and/or corals? I always seem to get there when the tanks are empty.

best day to go is when they get there shipments, if you don't kno what day they get there shipments than ask the store owner or manager.
