Best place to buy MH bulbs

I'd stay away from eBay bulbs unless they're brand names... I like Hello Lights. they have good customer service too.

Really depends on which bulb you want, most only carry a selection and others different.......
I have ordered from marine depot a few times and based on the volume they have, would expect them not to have been laying on the shelf for a while with the added chance of getting damaged.
marine and reef has a decent selection also......
I think lighting and bulbs are one of the most important items one can buy and wouldn't suggest trying to cut corners on this item. Its bad enough they vary from manufacture to manufacture, bulb to bulb......factor in a possiblity for low quality.....no telling what you will get......

Im happy with the ones I bought from ebay, although he has them on his own sight as well.

Been using his bulbs for a year now with no complaints. Something like 40-45 shipped to your door. Have good experience with them and dont supplement the bulb and still get great growth and coloration on my softies and LPS. Cant speak for SPS as I dont keep any in that tank. But for the little time I had a digi in there, I could see supplementation w/ PC, VHO, or T5 would be necessary. I use the 20k one.

You know, I asked myself the same question and I ended up buying from John at Your Reef. Why? Well because he has name brand bulbs, offers a good percent off for MARS, and with the shipping costs and risks of getting a broken bulb, it was marginally better to order offline.

BTW I just switched back the Phoenix 14K in all my tanks last night:
1-150w 14K in the Nano
2-250w 14K + 2-96w PCs.........
Glad to go back to them........as most know Phoenix are a bit bluer than most 14K so combined with the PCs and the higher PAR they have, I have the look of 20K with the performance of 14K or higher.........hope they don't shift much as they burn in because they look good now!!!!
