Best place to get T-5's locally or online?

Hey Mike,

Do you mean bulbs, parts, retro kits, or fixtures?
I'm putting together a group buy right now for Sunlight Supply if what you want is something they carry.
The discount varies depending on the product, but I know the TEK T5 fixtures will be way cheaper than you can get anywhere online.

I wasn't available yesterday so I will be getting back to everyone later this afternoon/tonight that PM'd me.

I am looking to get two 36" 4x80w setups, or if they make a 72" 6x80w (if the width is no more than 18") - I would like it to have individual reflectors and preferably ATI bulbs. For the 4x80w I would want 2 Blue Special 80w + 2 Blue Plus 80w and/or 3 Blue Special 80w + 3 Blue Plus 80w for the 72"

Let me know if this is available and if so please contact me at contact@zurc.net or AIM = zurcdotnet as my PM's don't work yet on RC.

Thanks,
-Mike C.

Sounds like a good deal. My gf bought hers from Premium Aquatics. It is the Aquatinics TX5. The good thing was that there was something wrong with the fan in light and Premium Aquatics replaced it free of charge.

i bought a retrofit 36" t5 ho setup for $110 including bulbs (i think it 2x39w) from hellolights

I need a 36" 4 bulb setup with individual reflectors and 80w ATI bulbs though :/ and hello lights I cannot find 80w setups on there site.

you could give premium aquatics a call. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will usually try to obtain it.

hey zurc where do u get 80w setups??
u need a special ballast 4 that?
Yep.
The 36" VHO T5 is just a regular HO T5 with an Icecap ballast that overdrives the bulb to 60w and requires a fan to cool it.

The 48" VHO T5 w/ Icecap ballast overdrives the bulb to 85w.

A regular 80w HO T5 bulb is 60".

Most LFS don't stock T5 bulbs, but Eco Reef does. So if you need some immediately, give them a call. For online orders, in the past I've ordered from Reef Geek.
