Best place to purchase live rock?

Tampa Bay Saltwater.

Their rock is "high quality" stuff.. and carries a matching price tag..
Expect to potentially get rock with plants/corals/fish/urchins/sponges,etc... living on/in it... Make sure you are ready for that..
You also pick it up at the airport and its shipped submerged in water..
Is is regarded as the best of the best "living rock".. which is more than "live" just because of the bacteria on it..

Why is it you are wanting "live rock" specifically?
Many just find it better/easier,etc... sourcing "dry rock" and cycling it or even purchasing a few pieces of "live" rock locally to kickstart the dry rock..

Sorry, Should have been more specific. I am looking for dry rock, don't have all the terminology down yet. I only have maybe 10lbs in my 49 gal bow front, all my parameters are good but the tank looks empty. would like to fill it up with another 40lbs or so.

reefcleaners.org Enjoy..

Concur. I bought 135 lbs from them. $2/lb or little less. Their service is fantastic too, very timely with responses to any questions. John will pick pieces as best as one can for a desired aquascape if you request. Rock is phosphate free.

Also a good place to get CUC and cheato/plants as they have fishless systems.

Just be aware that their snails are TINY...
They will grow obviously but don't expect the same size snails you may find at your local pet store..

Thats why their packages seem like a ton of snails.. Its really not because they are babies..

I just bought 80 snails from them the other day and have bought from them in the past too and am not sure I would do so again just because of the size..

Yeah, I ordered about 8 Nassarius snails as they were each .50 cents. They are tiny, but having a young tank, I'm afraid of ordering too many too early (Conch, Urchin, and a Trochus snail seems to be mowing things over well enough anyway). Had to spend about $3.50 I think for each Nassarius at the LFS where I bought 2 at the time. 1 died. (Lost a 2nd trochus somehow too, not sure how, but the urchin cleaned him out afterwards.)

I call the larger LFS one Dr. Nefarious and now he has about 8 minions. :) Yes, it's cheesy.
