Best placement for PM?

Well since non-paying people can no longer access the search... Please tell me what flow and light works best for these guys?

:D thank you both! So this is a high MH light coral? Do you have the deep purple color with it?
I think I remember someone saying they got the best color out of theirs when it was alittle lower in their tank but I could not find anything when I tried a manual search.

You could try paying $24/year and support this wonderful site and also to have access to the search engine instead of complaining about it.

They like high light and moderate indirect flow.

I placed mine 18 inches blow the water under a 250w DE 14k Phoenix in a ROIII reflector. It gets med flow(4 inch sec) and I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t mess with it. The color is deep purple. It seams happy, it also looks like a deepwater coral to me but thatââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s just a guess.

Is this true? I mean, do you have to pay to get access to the search engine?

Mine is about 14 inches under a 14k phx 250de just starting to turn purple after getting it over a month ago. Its already encusted :D

I have my purple, blue and yellow monsters about 12" under the halides, with medium flow. If you put it near a tunze (like I did) it will kill the monster. Best under high light and medium flow.

Mines higher up in the tank, about 16" away and in between 2-400W MHs, receiving moderate flow. It seems happy about where it is. :)

Twon, I totally agree you if you use the site pay for it.... if everybody felt that they could "cheat" the system then this site would not exist because of funding problems. 24.00 a year for the most in depth book covering any reef subject you would like to read about and of coarse meeting all you guys is well worth the money. Heck honestly I feel they could ask for more and get it...... My belief is if you do not want to contribute then you should not be allowed to post on the site .... that is my .02!

i don't think that RC is indispensable at all and i, whole-heartedly, agree that paying $24 per year is worth it to many people for the little 'i support RC' button, search privileges and whatever other neat knick knacks you get for 'supporting' RC. however, seeing how i'm a 'poor college kid', i'd much rather spend that $24 a year on my tank or food for myself or something. :D

as a non-paying RC member, I feel that finding ways to use the site to MY advantage is smart. i'm not cheating the 'system', i'm making sure that i can use the site the way that it was originally intended to be used (to pass on information about the hobby).

do we pay a membership cost to 'belong' at RC? no, we choose whether or not to pay a fee for certain amenities. as long as we don't HAVE to pay to become members of RC, i'm happy with using the link i provided to search for information. :)

cubuffs- are you being facetious or is there really such a thing as blue and yellow monsters? lol.

CAN WE PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC HERE?!?!?! I dont want to get into a debate about paying to be a part of a website. take that elsewhere please.

Ok... so lower flow than normal for acros and high light. I've put my new frag in med flow but its not at the very top of the tank. I'm scared thir will be to much flow there.
