I've bought from Algae Barn and also from Live Aquaria (AlgaGen pods). Algae Barn's offerings had more pods than the starter cultures from Live Aquaria, but overall you pretty much have to culture your own with a small tank or bucket, an airstone and PhytoFeast if you don't want to be eaten out of house and home by a critter that will only eat pods (like mandarin dragonettes).
If all you're trying to do is "seed" your aquarium, either source should be fine.
So dumb question on my part... if you add pods to the refugium do they survive and multiply in there until they somehow get into the display tank via the return pump?

Algae Barn used to be my go-to place for pods. Last few orders have just contained dirty water and a bunch of dead pods when samples were viewed under a microscope. :mad2:

I purchased pods from Aquaculture Nursery Farms via Amazon and couldn't be more happy with the purchase. My tank is exploding with pods now. They arrived in a bag for whatever that is worth
